Zubaida Bai, CEO of the Grameen Foundation, is one of the most powerful advocates of Women’s Health around the world. She was the first woman from her family in Chennai to make it to College despite her father being unable to afford fees. She became a Mechanical Engineer. At the age of 33 she founded Ayzh (Eyes) a low cost women’s healthcare company based in Chennai and Colorado (where she now lives).

The birthing kit JANMA (Birth) she engineered is estimated to have saved the lives of over a million women and children over the past decade when 800 women per day are estimated to die from avoidable childbirth issues.
