Michael Kaufman, PhD, is an advisor, educator, and writer who has worked in fifty countries with the United Nations, governments, corporations, unions, schools, and NGOs. His focus is engaging men to promote women’s rights, end gender-based violence, and positively transform the lives of men. He’s been named one of the hundred most influential people on gender policies in the world. He served the president of France and the prime minister of Canada on their respective G7 Gender Equality Advisory Councils. He’s a senior fellow with the research centre Equimundo.
His most recent book reached #1 on Amazon’s Business Diversity & Inclusion List. The Male Ally Handbook: Building Better Workplaces for Equality and Change offers analysis and practical advice to anyone who wants women to have equal opportunities and who want workplaces supportive of parents, free of harassment, and that are positive places for us all.
His most well-known book is The Time Has Come: Why Men Must Join the Gender Equality Revolution.
He’s the author of numerous novels, mysteries (including the Jen Lu series set ten years in the future in Washington, DC), literary fiction, and a young adult fantasy (“Moon Storm Rising” pen name Kayden Quinn).
Michael grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and Durham, North Carolina and lives in Toronto, Canada.
