Dr. Meenakshi Pahuja is an Open Water Swimmer from landlocked New Delhi who has completed scores of marathon swims around the world - across India, the United States, U.K., Samoa and South Africa - crossing Rivers, Lakes and Oceans. Her story of a young middle class girl swimming in public pools in Delhi, to achieve what she has is an astounding one of dreams, determination, and courage. She is a winner of numerous and national and international medals and thrice Limca Book of World Records holder. Meenakshi teaches at Lady Shri Ram College in Delhi, and is the 2018 Nari Shakti Puraskar winner, the highest civil award for Indian women.
