Laura Marsh

Cricket, Diversity

Tony Latimer.jpeg

Laura Marsh was the quintessential team player. She was a spinner who took crucial wickets and won numerous matches for England, an opening bowler when the team needed it (despite injuries that made her switch from pace originally) and an opening batsman when the situation demanded it. In a cricket career spanning 17-years, she won an incredible three World Cups. But more important are the lessons the sport taught her - How to work together towards a common cause, to overcome adversity that she faced on the field and off and rise stronger from it, and how to manage pressure, be Resilient, and fight back with Positivity.
